Healthforce was conceptualized as a solution to a longstanding problem in the nursing industry.  Kelly Kester presented her idea for nurse staffing software at a Duke Heart Incubator pitch competition and the idea was met with glowing reviews.  Teaming up with Smashing Boxes, a software development agency in Durham, NC, Healthforce has been developed and deployed at Duke Hospital.
